All that is, He contains within Himself like thoughts: the world, Himself, the All. Therefore, unless you make yourself equal to God, you cannot understand God; for like is not intelligible save to the like. Make yourself grow to a greatness beyond measure; by a leap [of intellect], free yourself from the body; raise yourself above all time, become Eternity; then you will understand God.

Believe that nothing is impossible for you; think yourself immortal and capable of understanding all, all arts, all sciences, the nature of every living being. Mount higher than the highest height; descend lower than the lowest depth. Draw into yourself all sensations of everything created, fire and water, the dry and the moist, imagining that you are everywhere, on earth, in the sea, in the sky; that you are not yet born, in the maternal womb, adolescent, old, dead, beyond death. If you embrace in your thought all things at once-all times, places, substances, qualities, quantities-you may understand God

Experience shows that the spirit is nothing but awareness. Whoever has greater awareness has greater spirit… When the spirit becomes greater and passes beyond all bounds, the spirits of all things become obedient to it.

So to experience your reality as the creator of it, realize that where you are is the center of all that is occurring. This is what it means to be centered. When you think someone, something or somewhere else is the center of what's going on, you are giving your power away to the external world. Move through your world with the consciousness that you are the center of the universe and you will find that you don't really have to shift much as things and people around you shift themselves instead.

Abu Sa'id

The deeper your involvement here,
the harsher your pain and suffering.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Take one step away from yourself — and behold! — the Path!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those who have attained divine reality and with enlightenment are fraught, From all creation have turned both their their face and their thoughts; The illumined men from the bowl of Looks beg for rays divine,By close attention (to God) they acquired whatever they sought.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The personality absolute, manifest in all creation fine, If thou desire to know of His pervading the universe, the reality and sign;Go! And on the surface of wine observe the bubble, see hoe,The wine is within the bubble and the bubble within the wine.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you wish to draw near to God, you must seek God in the hearts of others. You should speak well of all, whether present or absent. If you seek to be a light to guide others, then, like the sun, you must show the same face to all. To bring joy to a single heart is better than to build many shrines for worship, and to enslave one soul by kindness is worth more than the setting free of a thousand slaves.
The true man of God sits in the midst of his fellowmen, and rises up and cats and sleeps and buys and sells and gives and takes in the bazaars, and marries and has social intercourse with others, and yet is never for one moment forgetful of God.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One day a man asked a sheikh how to reach God. “the Way to God” the sheikh replied, “are many as they are created beings. But the shortest and easiest is to serve others, not to bother others, and to make others happy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sacrifice your ego; nothing more.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A dervish was sweeping the courtyard. Abu Sa'id saw him and said, "Be like the dust ball that rolls before the broom and not like the rock left behind.'One must be like the dust, which has no will of its own but goes wherever the broom (the spiritual master) commands not like the rock, which asserts its own will and resists the direction of the guide.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Four thousand years before God created these bodies, he created the souls and kept them beside himself and shed a light upon them. He knew what quantity each soul received and he showed favor to each in proportion to its illumination. The souls remained all that time in light, until they became fully nourished. Those who in this world live in joy and agreement with one another must have been akin to one another in that place. Here they love one another and are called the friends of God, and they are brothers who love one another for God’s sake. These souls know one another by smell, like horses.

The perfect mystic is neither an ecstatic devotee lost in contemplation of Oneness nor a saintly recluse shunning all commerce with mankind. The true saint goes in and out among the people, eats and sleeps with them, buys and sells in the market, marries and takes part in social intercourse, and never forgets God for a single moment.
